Experience the unique mix of German Christmas traditions and warm Texan hospitality this Weihnachtszeit, or Christmas season, in Fredericksburg. Celebrate the season with friends, family and neighbors with a nightly lighting of the Community Christmas Tree and German Christmas Pyramid during Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights.
Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 21, all are invited to experience a 10-minute audio presentation, featuring the story of the town’s German heritage, holiday carols and concluding with a countdown to the lighting of Marktplatz.
Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights continues nightly through Jan. 7. Each evening will feature holiday music starting at 5 p.m., and the 6 p.m. audio presentation and lighting countdown. After the countdown, the music will conclude at 6:30 p.m. Please note that there will be no audio presentation on December 1 or December 31 but the lights will come on as usual.
